nimisha maatrena - in the wink of an eye

The water gushes around me for a wink
My blood rushes to the brain for a wink
The cold shivers my bones for a wink
My feet paddle in line with my fingers for a wink
The wind blows my fringes away for a wink
My lips moisten the dryness of my skin for a wink

I can see her smiling
on the other side of this river
for a wink

Lolly,

You're still stuck on this side of the river. I had thought u crossed it long time back. I think its time you got around to crossing it.

hmmm well I got around reading it for the 6th time today...and sadly I didn't find it that intriguing..

I almost expected what you would say in the last 3 lines about the woman and the wink..

You have tried to draw a parallel between your desires and your act of crossing the river..which is evident..but I preferred your first 2 poems..I do think it's time to give it a twist..

right now my thoughts are not intriguing and they reflect in my posts

Something tells me you don't want to cross to the other side,I think you'd prefer staying over where you are and ruminate over the possibilities of the other side.

just hazarding a hunch...

Gail,

I am fishing unfamiliar waters
and such ruminations would be comforting but not consequential.

To be honest, I am as clueless/cluefull as you are.
